I Fear For The Imaginary Future Children Who Will Read My Books

I need a patient with a voice problem to evaluate and interview for a case study for one of my classes.

So if you have been involved in any screaming matches, attended concerts, participated in rallies *cough* people who've joined the recent budget cut rally from my uni *cough* or just generally have a crappy voice, see me please. In all seriousness though, I don't know where I'm going to find someone on such short notice. Not to mention the fact that I have a ton of other things to do aside from the aforementioned case study. Such as the children's storybook (vocal playbook) I've mentioned in the last post. So far, I've only drafted the cover page. I still think it needs more fixing. I drew all this in Photoshop. With a mouse.

The story itself is like Alice in Wonderland meets Wizard of Oz and I have a character named "Bubbaloo" in it who is like some weird bubble gum creature but I find him highly amusing. Yes, I know the whole story is not very original and SERIOUSLY CANDYLAND WHAT THE HECK? But this is the best I can do right now. I might post a few other pages of this book as I go along and definitely a photo of the finished product. Have I mentioned that I have to submit both this and the voice case study on Thursday next week, wherein I also have an exam scheduled? I'm going to have work extra hard to finish all this in time, seriously.

As a little side note, I've been craving cheese fries this whole week. I might get myself some tomorrow at the mall when I buy materials for my storybook. I know I'll probably regret scarfing down that future tub o' heart attack but I really really need fries for some reason. Preferably drowned in cheese powder and cooking oil and sprinkled with awesomeness. Mmmmm.

Keep bubblin',

I See Weird Things

\Well. I do think this is the longest break from blogging I've ever had. A lot of schoolwork-related stuff happened and to top it all off, I got sick. Runny nose, coughing, a headache and a fever-the works. Actually, I still feel kinda crappy now. You know the worst part about being sick is the fact you can't even savor the flavors of your food. You can take everything away from me, just not my ability to taste my food, darn it!

Also, with a pretty high fever, you start to imagine things. You aren't thinking straight. You begin to see things in the corner of your eyes. Naturally, this hasn't really helped my sanity much.

Not that there was much of it to begin with.

Now I have to go back to my projects, one of which involves making a complete children's storybook. I've already got the main characters down and I have about 6 pages done minus illustrations. Basically I'm just crapping out ideas for each page. Ha! This should be good.

First Guest Post

Quick notice to let you guys know I guest posted for Mayen over at clicks and cuts. Check it out here!

It went pretty well for my first guest post so I'm very happy about that. Thankyou, Mayen! I might do a couple more in the future if my more-busy-than-I'd-like schedule would allow it, and also if there would be other bloggers willing to have me guest post. *wink wink*
Also, a big shout out to my new followers! Welcome to my blog, and I hope you enjoy your stay. I'll be sure to check out your blogs soon, so watch out for that. Also, right now I have exactly 101 followers, and that's pretty awesome. I love you all, both old followers and new ones, all one hundred and one of you. So, please no one un-follow me and make me look bad (please?). Teehee.

And since this post seems rather bare, here's a VERY awesome set of wedding photos. It's not your ordinary set of wedding photos, though. But they're really cute!

Hugs,

I Make Crappy Watercolor Paintings, Too!

Good morning everyone! Or night. You know, depending on where you are, basically or what time you actually read this. You know what, let's start over. Good day, everyone! So this morning I was in the shower and as I reached for my shampoo bottle...

"This strand of hair belonged to my last vic- er..I mean, this hair...it's so straight.

Yeah. that was pretty freaky. Needless to say, my shampoo bottle is now forever positioned in a such a way that Yuko Yamashita is not facing me anymore, watching as I shower, holding out a piece of hair in front of her. *shudders*

In other news, in my quest to fix up my room and decorate it in the most rainbow-y way possible, I decided to personalize it a bit more by actually painting some of the stuff that will eventually get tacked onto the walls. Therefore, this afternoon, I dug up my old watercolor paints (which I used in elementary and are still magically usable which makes me think some watercolor fairy replenishes them or something) and started painting away. I didn't really have anything too concrete in mind. All I knew was that I wanted a blue-purple color scheme and some butterflies on there because ZOMGBUTTERFLIESARECUTE. This is what I came up with:

"Yay butterflies!"

Detail

Although I have this nagging feeling that it's missing a little something, I'm planning to frame this relatively crappy spontaneously whipped up butterfly painting onto the wall above my bed and start working on two other paintings with the color schemes red-orange and yellow-green.  So stay tuned for more artsy-fartsy projects in the future. Although since I have a tendency to not finish what I start, don't really hope too much.

Peace,
