So this will probably be my very last post for November, and I'm proud to say it's a happy one! After a month-long battle, I finally finished (and won) my first NaNoWriMo challenge! Proof, yo:
I never thought I'd make it, but I did! Yay!
I have to say though, the novel I started writing isn't actually finished/wrapped up yet story-wise despite me reaching the 50k word mark. I still have quite a long way to go before I end it, but it's been an interesting journey so far, and I just might finish it. Congratulations to everyone who have already won, and to those who are still struggling to reach the finish line, you guys can do it! Believe in yourselves!
In other news, Christmas is coming up and preparations for our annual university lantern parade are under way, as well as preparations for Christmas parties, etc. etc. so all these, coupled with acads have left me understandably tired all the time, and I barely get to squeeze in enough time to sleep and write for NaNoWriMo, let alone write a blog post or visit your blogs. Gah! But now that I've finally won NaNo a day early, I hope I can finally get some rest and focus on more things.
Also, I got a haircut. My hair is now a lot shorter than it has ever been and is cut into a bob with side bangs. As a result, all my blocmates have been referring to me as either Velma from Scooby Doo or Edna Mode from The Incredibles.
What the heck.
On the bright side though, I can go as either one for our animated cartoon-themed university Christmas party in December, even though I was initially dead set on going as the cute chubby little bumblebee from Adventure Time.
"Do these stripes make me look fat?"
See ya later,
I totally failed. Couldn't keep up and gave up after a week. Stressless writing is more my style, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! Congrats, Isha!
ReplyDeleteYou think there may exist a chance we'd be able to read it at some point?
