All-nighters And Sugar Go Well Together

So today it is Wednesday and it's nearly 12 AM. I haven't slept since 7 AM on Tuesday. So that means I've gone 41 hours without sleep (nearly 2 days). I've been cramming for exams and making this required autobiography since 7 AM on Tuesday, all the while munching on M&M's and any other chocolate and sugar-filled treat.

I've started seeing things (an example would be this afternoon when I thought someone was peeking in through my window, and this is a condo on the tenth floor. I flipped out, then realized how silly that would've been: someone climbing the side of a building until the tenth floor and peering into a random window for no reason. But then again:

Anyway, I've been wondering when the hardcore hallucinations will start, probably if I forgo sleep again tonight. Hoho. That would be interesting. Oh, and after submitting all the last remaining requirements this afternoon at exactly 4 PM, my friends and I rejoiced. IT'S FINALLY SUMMER. *insert happy dance here* Oh gawd, I thought summer would never arrive. Plus, most of my friends hadn't slept a wink since Tuesday, either, so we all sort of understood how each one felt.

As a last-day-of-school celebration thing before everyone left the city and their dorms to go to their respective homes, we watched Sucker Punch. It was a mindf- movie, or maybe it's just because I have no sleep and am running purely on sugar so it seemed that way. It ended at about 9:30 PM and as we got up from our seats, I suddenly felt light-headed, actually all of us did. My head throbbed and it felt like I was floating. We looked like high/drunk people struggling to walk through this strangely-more-curved-and-longer-than-usual movie theater hallway, laughing all the way as we bumped into the walls and each other.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, so I passed out after that last paragraph. Haha. The next thing I know, I'm waking up and the sun's peeking in through the curtains and I'm slumped on my desk, in front of my laptop. WAS I DREAMING? *checks clock and calendar* No, it's Thursday and it's 7 AM, and that's about right. Darn. I would've wanted to go three days without sleep. Oh well. Sucker Punch semi-film review coming up next!

Sweet dreams,

Mini Me

My last day of classes for this semester is on Wednesday. I still have exams on Monday and Tuesday and I have to submit all these requirements and projects on Wednesday. *groan*

One of these projects is a Prose and Pictures Autobiography: Life Development Past, Present and Future. Now, this would've been a blast if it was a normal autobiography and I just had to blab on and on about all my experiences and whatnot (because I am good at that), but noooo, aside from talking about our lives, we have to incorporate several Human Development concepts in there. I'm actually having a difficult time, but I guess I can manage.

I can't wait for Summer. It's so close. After Wednesday, I can finally rejoice and have some fun fun fun. Haha. I can already taste the sand, the sun, the sea, and the oh-so-delicious strawberry banana milk shakes. Argh. I hope my friends and I can squeeze an outing or two before I leave for Jeddah. That would be delightful.

This wasn't really much of a post, was it? Oh well. Here, I'll make it up to you guys by posting a picture of myself when I was a kid:

D'awww.

That Crazy Lady

I took a laboratory exam yesterday. I think I did okay, but then again, I don't really know. Oh Anatomy, why must you torture us so?

Anyway, after that exam, my friends and I decided to eat at Red Ribbon, a restaurant at the local mall that is primarily a bakeshop but now serves main courses with your cake. (How convenient is that, eh?) So we were talking, laughing, eating, making paper cranes and origami lotuses that looked like exploded siopaos (okay, don't ask why we were folding paper in a restaurant, it's sort of a long story) when suddenly, from the left side of the resto, a commotion breaks out and there's this woman shouting at a family about how rude they are and how she was only trying to help, etc. etc.

She was all:

And we were all:

From the random bits of information we managed to piece together (since it's fun to stick your nose in other people's business), wait, just kidding, she was shouting about the entire incident the whole time we were there so she didn't really leave much to the imagination. Anyway, the kid of the family was crying and she touched the kid's shoulder to calm her/him down (I didn't really see the kid. The counter was obscuring him/her). The dad or mom pulled the child away since they didn't really want him/her associating with strangers, I guess and then this is the part where that woman literally freaks out and goes berserk all over the place. Even long after the family has left, she's still spewing out insults and defending herself and complaining, all in her high-pitched screechy voice.

Gawd, she was seriously annoying. I wanted to slap her clear across her face. But then again, I'm a good person and I wouldn't do that, so I stuck to mentally throwing her off a cliff.

Peace,

I Have An Ouchie.

This post may make some uneasy. Everyone afraid of paper cuts and blood should steer clear of this post.

What's worse than a paper cut on your finger? I'll tell you what-a metal cut under your fingernail. Oh, and yes, I have one right now, a deep cut under the fingernail of my right index finger. *sniffles*

Yes, I know I am a big baby but holy crap, it hurts like hell! I was tucking my shirt into my jeans early this morning when my fingernail got snagged on the metal clasp of one of the buttons on my jeans. I yelped in pain and quickly observed my finger. Blood had already started pooling under my fingernail and was starting to drip out. At this point I felt like breaking down. I am someone who is okay being around cadavers during laboratory sessions and watching scene after scene of gore in films, but when it comes to paper cuts or whatever kind of small cut, I get queasy. I mean, I even have this irrational fear of tearing my lingual frenulum. Google it if you don't know, but it's basically this membrane under the tongue that sort of helps in holding it in place. I think I would pass out if that happened. *shudders*

Anyway, I pinched my finger (for no particular reason) and the blood literally squirted out. I am honestly not exaggerating. The thoughts running through my head at this point were basically: "Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap." Finally, I decided to place my finger under a running stream of cold water. After about five minutes (yes, that long) of continuous bleeding, it finally stopped. I sighed in relief but then, I suddenly felt lightheaded and my vision blurred a bit. I wondered if I'd lost a lot of blood and if this was my end. Was this it? However, death by a cut under the fingernail doesn't sound very prestigious. So, I sat down for a while and closed my eyes. After a few minutes of dizziness, I was finally back to my normal self.

I wrapped a little band-aid around my finger and now I am extremely conscious of it. I write with my index finger pointing upwards and try as much as possible to not type with it but I occasionally forget and I am greeted by a stinging wave of pain. Ouch. I am now going to sleep this off.

Sad finger is sad.

Champions? I think Yes.

So today I attended the last P.E. class I would ever take for my entire college career. (cue "awww's" here)

My P.E. subject (which as I've said, is the last) this semester is Table Tennis and I was fortunate enough to be in the best table tennis class this sem. Seriously. We won the interclass table tennis tournament earlier today (woohoo, amirite?). We were all jumping around like we'd won the lottery, even though there was no prize money for being Table Tennis Champions that semester. Boooo. However, our efforts were not wasted. Because we won, our professor announced that she would not be requiring us take the written exam tomorrow anymore. So hooray for not studying the history of table tennis and its rules and regulations tonight! After all, I'm not really interested in memorizing what size that little orange ping pong ball is.

Hooray Red Team. Congrats to us. Thank you guys for making my last P.E. class ever super memorable. This is a bittersweet thing for me. I'm confused as to whether I'm happy with not having to take any more P.E. classes next semester or sad since I'm going to be missing wearing my P.E. uniform and having that one class each week that's "chill time". Perhaps it's for the best, though since I know I'll be up to my chin in major subjects next semester. Which reminds me that I will be a college junior this June. I feel so old. Oh and as for you (yes, you. the guy with the face towel constantly draped across his shoulder), thanks for making us all laugh with your ever-changing and super animated facial expressions as you expertly whacked those balls around. Wait, that last sentence sounded wrong.

Ping ya later,
